Peach Crisp Ice cream
The combo of two of the best summer desserts in one!
My childhood house had the most glorious peach trees. Once we moved to the farm house though, we went peach picking every year so my mom could can peaches. So growing up, peaches were a favorite in our house.
But let’s be honest, all fruits are improved upon by a good crumble topping and ice cream.
This ice cream recipe is so easy! It’s just a simple vanilla base with a crumble that’s basically granola (you probably could swap out granola for it!) and peaches chopped in. That’s it. But golly is it good!
Simple. Sweet. Delicious. All the things you need in a summer sweet treat!
Peach Crisp Ice Cream
Ingredients:
Crisp granola
1/2 cup butter, melted (I browned mine which I highly recommend if you’re melting it anyway, but not necessary)
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup old fashion oats
1/2 cup pecans, chopped
Ice cream
2 cups cream
1 tablespoon vanilla
2 cup sweetened condensed milk (homemade or 1 14 ounce can store bought)
3-5 peaches, chopped
Instructions:
For the crisp granola, mix all the ingredients together in a bowl. Spread it out on a baking sheet. Bake in an oven preheated to 300 degrees F. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until it’s brown and starting to firm up. It’ll finish firming up once cooled. Let it cool completely.
To make the ice cream, first beat the cream to soft peaks in a large bowl. Add in the vanilla and beat into stiff peaks. Add in the sweetened condensed milk and beat until just combined. Stir in the peaches and the granola. Pour into a freezer safe container. Freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight. Enjoy!
