S’mores Latte with a marshmallow creamer
Chocolate, marshmallows, and graham crackers all in a cozy (caffeinated) drink. No bonfire smoke smelling hair required. No disrespecting of bed times (unless you want it late then you do you, boo). Just a little morning sweet treat for when you’re itching for something that bodes of late summer but still in your pjs.
I was going to make this recipe a lot harder by including my own marshmallow fluff recipe right in here, but then I had a profound thought: why? I’m going to add some links for a great marshmallow fluff recipe with minimal junk and some protein to boot and an insanely easy hot fudge recipe too. But honestly, if you want to use store stuff, I don’t care. I wanted an easy, approachable recipe. We don’t have time for a 3 hour long coffee recipe.
I made this marshmallow fluff recipe for another recipe (s’mores bownies, y’all: LIFE CHANGING) and saved the leftovers for the creamer and topping. You could for sure add more to the creamer to make it sweeter, but with the hot fudge in the coffee too, it’s not really needed. The hot fudge? Leftover from the farm party. But it’s a great recipe!
Now before anyone says, “Rachel! This isn’t healthy!” You would be right. It’s a lot. But just every now and then, you need a lot. Eat some protein before sipping and the blood sugars will do better. Invite a friend over for lattes. Then it’s a community experience which is good for the soul. Boom. Health. You can thank me later.
Whether you need a little morning sweet treat or an afternoon pick me up or a non alcoholic warm drink by the fire (catch me at a party with up a cup of coffee anytime!), this is the late summer drink for you!
S’mores latte with marshmallow creamer
Creamer Ingredients:
1/2 cup of raw cream
1 1/2 half cup of raw milk
1/4 - 1/2 cup marshmallow fluff, pending on taste (I went with 1/4 cup), store bought or homemade recipe
splash of vanilla extract
Creamer Instructions:
Combine everything in a blender and pulse a few times. Pour into a jar and put a pour spout lid on it. It will be extra fluffy right after making it, but will calm down. The extra fluff is perfect for the first latte!
Latte Ingredients:
about 1 tablespoon of hot fudge, store bought or homemade recipe
hot coffee
1/4-1/2 of marshmallow creamer
marshmallow fluff to top, store bought or homemade recipe
graham crackers to top (gluten free if needed; I love Pamala’s brand)
Latte Instructions:
In a mug, spread hot fudge around the inside of the mug. Pour in your desired amount of coffee. (I needed lots of coffee personally to balance out how sweet this was!) Top it off with the marshmallow creamer. Top it with a scoop of marshmallow fluff and crumbled graham crackers. Enjoy!
